Dental Implants

If you are looking for a long term, effective solution for missing teeth, dental implants may be for you. Treman & Treman Family Dental Care performs dental implants that bring back the functionality, appearance and feeling of real teeth.

One of the most effective restorative techniques for returning the function of your teeth is the use of dental implants. Implants are made from biocompatible titanium alloy and are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root. They are anchored to the jawbone and serve as the foundation for a permanent bridge or artificial tooth. They may also be used to attach dentures. Our dental implants are so well designed to mimic the look and function of your natural teeth, you’ll forget you have them!

Dental Implant Procedure

This procedure can take several visits. During the first visit (for most procedures) an implant is placed into the jawbone and the site is allowed to heal for 3-6 months. This gives the bone time to grow around and attach to the implant and hold it in place. During a follow-up visit, a natural looking artificial tooth, bridge, or denture is fitted over the implant anchor.

In some cases, a dental implant can be placed immediately following the removal of a tooth or root. In addition, if there is enough primary stability, a temporary dental crown can be placed at the same visit, enabling the patient to leave the office with a great smile.

For a successful implant, you must have a strong immune system and proper bone density. To find out if you are a good candidate for dental implants, contact us today!
